TriState Health is recognized as one of six Top Recommended Hospitals in Washington State, with a five star in patient recommendation. Becker’s Hospital Review has assembled a list of hospitals that patients are most likely to recommend in every state, using Hospital Consumer Assessment of Healthcare Providers and Systems data from Centers for Medicare & Medicaid Services (CMS) based on patients’ survey data. The star rating was created with data collected from hospital patients from October 2022, through September 2023.

The recommended hospital star rating is built on patients’ responses to the question, “Would you recommend this hospital to your friends and family?” Hospitals must have at least 100 completed Hospital Consumer Assessment of Healthcare Providers and Systems (HCAHPS) surveys in a four-quarter period to be eligible for a star rating. HCAHPS is a national, standardized survey of hospital patients about their experiences during a recent inpatient hospital stay.
