As our community continues to grow, the needs of our healthcare system grow as well. Asotin County alone has a considerable senior population with 23% of adults aged 65 years and older. Over the next decade, this percentage is expected to rise as 16% of current residents are between the ages of 55 and 64. In Nez Perce County 26% of residents are 60 years or older, with the percentage expecting to rise by 13% in that same time. As our population in the Lewis Clark Valley and surrounding areas age, the demand for surgical services in the region rises.
