Personalized Hormone Replacement Therapy

For many adults—especially women navigating midlife—these symptoms are more than just frustrating. They can disrupt daily routines, strain relationships, and take a toll on both physical and mental health. At TriState Health, a growing Hormone Replacement Therapy (HRT) Program is helping women find relief, restore balance, and feel like themselves again.

This recently expanded program, led by Dezirae Berry, NP-C, at TriState Urogynecology, provides compassionate, personalized care for women experiencing hormone-related health concerns. Certified in Hormone Replacement Therapy, Dezirae offers both bioidentical hormonal therapies and non-hormonal options, customizing each treatment plan based on a patient’s medical history, symptoms, comfort level, and long-term goals.

“Hormone health affects everything—from sleep, mood, and metabolism to heart, bone, and brain function,” explains Dezirae. “Many people don’t realize how deeply hormones influence their everyday wellbeing until they start exploring treatment options.”

Types of hormone therapy offered through Dezirae’s program include estrogen, progesterone, testosterone, and combination therapies, depending on the patient’s needs. Delivery methods include pills, patches, and body gels—giving women the flexibility to choose what fits best with their lifestyle. (Note: pellet therapy is not offered through Dezirae’s program, but is available with other providers.)

Hormone therapy is not new to TriState. Jeremy Ostermiller, PA-C, at TriState Family Practice & Internal Medicine, has been successfully offering Hormone Replacement Therapy (HRT) services for some time, helping patients manage hormone imbalances and improve overall quality of life. With the addition of Dezirae’s expertise, TriState now offers greater access and flexibility, empowering women to choose the provider and approach that best suits their individual health journey.

While hormone levels naturally fluctuate and decline with age, women experience the most significant changes during perimenopause
and menopause. Symptoms can range widely—fatigue, hot flashes, night sweats, weight gain, mood shifts, decreased libido, and brain fog. For some, these symptoms are manageable. For others, they can be life-altering.

TriState Health’s approach to HRT is modern, evidence-based, and deeply patient-centered. Rather than relying solely on lab testing, providers like Dezirae focus on symptom patterns, medical history, and age to guide treatment. This aligns with current best practices in hormone therapy, which emphasize treating the whole person.

And for those who prefer to avoid hormones altogether, non-hormonal therapies are also available.

“It’s important for patients to know they have choices,” Dezirae adds. “Together, we can create a plan that supports their body, respects their preferences, and promotes their long-term health.”

Through ongoing conversations and regular follow-up, providers monitor how patients are responding and adjust treatment plans to ensure lasting effectiveness.

If you’re starting to notice changes – or have been silently struggling for years – you don’t have to navigate this chapter alone. Whether it’s hot flashes, low energy, or other signs of hormonal imbalance, TriState Health is here to support you.
