This year marks a monumental milestone for TriState Health as we celebrate 70 years of dedication, growth, and service to the Lewis Clark Valley. Since our founding in 1955, we have remained committed to our mission, “Your Health is Our First Priority,” making a lasting impact on our community and beyond. Over the past seven decades, TriState has evolved from humble beginnings into a pillar of excellence. From our early years, to today’s dynamic presence, we have continually adapted and expanded to meet the needs of those we serve. None of this would have been possible without the unwavering support of our community, volunteers, partners, and our dedicated healthcare team. Their passion and commitment have been the driving force behind our success, and this celebration is as much about them as it is about our organization’s journey.

TriState Health emerged from a group of dedicated community members who had a dream to build a new, larger hospital that could serve the community and surrounding areas for years to come. An original excerpt from a February 24, 1956, edition of the Clarkston Herald described Tri-State Memorial Hospital as YOUR hospital. “It was built for you, with your money and efforts, and it will always be for YOU.” The same holds true today. It all began with one dream to create a hospital that would serve as a memorial that honors all of those who fought and died in the wars. Since then, the hospital has expanded to meet the needs of the growing community. Expansions have been constructed, new equipment has been purchased, and new services and providers have joined the TriState Family.

With the passion for keeping healthcare local so families can heal as close to home as possible, it will continue to grow. Even through all of the evolution, one important thing has remained constant over the years: your community hospital will continue to place your health as their first priority. Today, the Board of Directors, administration, staff, and providers at TriState Health continue to realize that dream by serving across Washington, Idaho, and Oregon. With dedication, perseverance, and a patient-first approach, TriState has established a reputation for high-quality care, one that supports the growing needs of our neighbors.

While we take this moment to celebrate the past, we are also excited about what lies ahead. The next chapter for TriState Health will focus on continuing to advance and elevate for our community and those we serve, ensuring that we strive to make a difference for generations to come.
