During this time of uncertainty and crisis, communities come together to support one another through many facets. It is with overwhelming gratitude that Tri-State Memorial Hospital & Medical Campus received a generous donation of $50,000 from Schweitzer Engineering Laboratories along with a personal donation from Ed and Beatriz Schweitzer. The total contribution to the Tri-State Memorial Hospital COVID-19 Response fund is $100,000.
The donation will help purchase comfort items and operational support relating to COVID-19. Funds will aid Tri-State medical professionals through efforts like providing essential medical supplies or offering critical support to the frontline staff.
“I am overwhelmed by the generosity of the Schweitzers and Schweitzer Engineering Laboratories,” said D’Lynn Ottmar, Chief Development Officer for the Tri-State Hospital Foundation. “This donation will help Tri-State Memorial Hospital so much during these challenging times in facing COVID-19 expenses.”
Donations such as these allow Tri-State Memorial Hospital & Medical Campus to focus on protecting their patients, staff, and the community.
“We are immensely grateful for the outpouring support we have received from the community, including businesses such as SEL,” said Don Wee, Chief Executive Officer at Tri-State Memorial Hospital. “As needs continue to increase, gifts such as this really make a difference and continue to allow us to provide high-quality care to our patients.”
