COVID-19 on the Rise: A Message From our CEO

COVID-19 positive tests are on the rise in our community. Asotin County Public Health released a statement last week revealing that there have been 61 reported cases of COVID-19 over the previous 14 days. The town that we love and care for is in a very high-risk situation that could lead to more significant restrictions and changes for our local businesses, schools, and community. We are asking that everyone band together to try and prevent that from happening. 

Tri-State Minor Care is seeing a spike in COVID-19 testing for all age groups – not just the elderly. While all of us at Tri-State Memorial Hospital understand that we are all experiencing fatigue from the constant barrage of information regarding COVID-19, we can’t give up quite yet. 

We are equipped with the necessary tools to combat this pandemic together. I urge every person to wear your mask, practice good hand hygiene, and social distance of at least 6 feet or more. Be vigilant for our community, as well as for the health of one another. If our community disregards the tools handed to us, our local business will be hurt once again, and we will be faced with more restrictions than we have already. Our community needs to stay healthy; we need stores, restaurants, and schools to remain open. 

With the present surge in cases, please be cautious and follow the protocols outlined by the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention. Tri-State Memorial Hospital will continue to stand united and do everything in our power to help our community get through this crisis. As the COVID-19 situation continues to develop, we will keep our community informed of any hospital changes. 

Together we will slow the spread and protect those most vulnerable. We are still in this together.
