Clinical Research Projects for You
Clinical research trials are scientific studies designed to answer
specific questions about new drugs and treatments and new ways of
using established ones. Clinical trials are used before a new treatment
is recommended for wide use, and they help detemine that new treatments
are safe and that they work.
ClinicalTrials.gov, which is a service provided by the National
Institutes of Health (NIH), and developed by the National Library
of Medicine. ClinicalTrials.gov provides patients, family members,
and members of the public easy and free access to information on
clinical studies for a wide range of diseases and conditions. You
